This opportunity will see you join UGL, as a key member of a highly experienced team within the Utilities business you will work on projects within the Power and Water infrastructure sector.

The Role

As the Management Accountant, your primary role, will involve overseeing major joint venture project finances, conducting thorough analyses of data, and generating comprehensive financial reports. Additionally, you will be tasked with offering valuable insights and spearheading process enhancements to streamline the tracking and management of financial and cost data. Collaborating closely with the Finance Manager, you will provide essential financial support and ensuring adherence to overall cost management objectives across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with end of month processes and financial reporting within required deadlines and to required levels of accuracy for the project.
• Analyse costs incurred vs recoveries, margin results and actual performance compared to the budget/forecast plans, cash flow and expenditure.
• Provide accurate and timely information for cost incurred to date to the project stakeholders.
• Have a clear understanding of pay rates, billed rates, and EBAs relevant to the project.
• Prepare monthly claim and invoicing.
• Input timesheet hours from external system to SAP with a follow up for missing timesheets and reconcile regularly with the external system\
• Identify opportunities for improvement in cost capture process by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement changes that promote operational efficiency and profitability.

 Qualifications/Skills

• Degree qualified in Commerce or Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Understanding of project in a Joint Venture environment is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP is desirable.
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
