Management Accountant

As a Management Accountant, you will be required to oversee the issuance of financial information by providing monthly KPI reports, profit and loss statements and assist in preparation of annual financial statements. You will report to the Finance Manager and work with key stakeholders around budget performance and financial accountability. Your other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end activities, including financial reporting, key balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
• Perform variance analysis identifying key drivers of financial performance around costs, pricing, variable contributions and sales results
• Finalisation of year end management accounts
• Assist with overseeing cash flow management
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and drive cost saving initiatives
• Ensure compliance obligations are met including BAS, payroll tax and workers compensation.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required

About You:

• Bachelor of Business/ Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• CPA/CA qualified
• 3+ years experience in an Accounting role
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office
• Experience using Power BI and MYOB advantageous
• Good communication skills- both written and verbal
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and at the same time work effectively in a team environment
