The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Energetic & Enthusiastic Management Accountant to become an integral part of our finance team. As the Management Accountant, you will leverage your strong technical accounting background to support the CFO in preparing timely month-end financials. Your role will involve maintaining general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and managing day-to-day financial processes, while also providing advice to the CFO on all financial activities and company performance. As a versatile "Finance-All-Rounder," you will support various team functions and assist with administrative tasks when needed.
Tasks and responsibilities may include:
- Delivery of month-end close process and the day-to-day accounting processes
- Preparing and posting journals such as accruals, prepayments, leases etc.
- Closing Fixed Assets module. Ensuring all new assets purchases are supported with approved Business case.
- Assist the CFO in preparation of monthly Board Pack.
- Ensure Monthly claim schedule is up to date.
- Ensure the AR aging report is up to date, follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Ensure the Customer set up in Pronto is correct.
- Provide day-to day reports in a timely manner – Open PO, Project Drill down, Labor Activity, Overhead expenses.
- Providing day-to-day financial support, ensuring key monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines are achieved.
- Assist the CFO in Budgeting and Forecasting process.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA/CA qualified or currently studying towards
- 5+ years of proven experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with accounting software and databases, preferably Pronto XI
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
- Intermediate to advance excel skills
