The Role:
Join this growing Commercial/Procurement Consulting team, where your expertise will be pivotal in navigating the intricate landscape of government procurement. As a Commercial/Procurement Consultant, you'll be instrumental in driving projects to success, leveraging your practical understanding of government procurement policies to interpret processes and procedures for optimal project outcomes.
Duties Include:
- Utilize your practical understanding of government procurement policies to interpret processes and procedures, ensuring the best project outcomes.
- Support collaborative negotiations with suppliers, anticipating problems, and fostering strong performance outcomes for our esteemed clients.
- Foster collaborative relationships with team members and stakeholders to achieve common outcomes, ensuring seamless project delivery.
- Lead or support various streams of work, including RFQ development, approach to market, evaluation processes, contract management, compliance assessment, gap analysis, risk assessment, pricing, and value for money assessment, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Seeking talented individuals to contribute to the end-to-end delivery of high-value and complex procurement projects or play a pivotal role in our client delivery procurement program.
- A strong understanding of Defence or Commonwealth Government procurement and contracting life cycles is paramount.
- Exposure to high-value procurements and delivering commercial advisory services is highly valued.
- Previous experience working within or with Federal Government departments in a commercial setting, across Defence, National Security, Health, Environment, or other agencies, is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement and contracts within the federal government space.
- Experience in consulting is advantageous.
- Ideally holds a Cert 4 in Procurement & Contracts, or demonstrates a keen interest in obtaining one.
- While a degree is preferred, it's not mandatory.
- The role is suitable for candidates ranging from Senior Consultant to Senior Manager level.
- Must hold a Baseline clearance (sponsorship to NV1 possible, NV1 preferred).
