  • Full time position at our Hawthorn campus
  • Hew 8 + 17% Superannuation
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Academic Integrity to redesign and implement an institutional Academic Integrity framework and to provide leadership, education, and investigative capability. You will play a key role in supporting academic staff by maintaining good academic practice and identifying breaches of Academic Integrity and student academic misconduct regulations.
The Manager, Academic Integrity will work collaboratively with the Academic Integrity Working Group and learning and teaching stakeholders across the University to develop and implement an institutional Academic Integrity framework that takes an educative approach by building staff capability in detecting, reporting, investigating and determining outcomes of Academic Integrity breaches.
This role will also focus on identifying and mitigating future risks to Academic Integrity by proactively coordinating institutional approaches in response to emerging technologies that impact learning and teaching activities, Academic Integrity, and assessment security, including Artificial Intelligence.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in:
  • Designing and implementing a cohesive and comprehensive institutional approach to Academic Integrity through collaborating with academic units and other learning and teaching stakeholders and support services.
  • Working with the governance team to design and implement an efficient end-to-end process to enable managing, monitoring, and recording of academic misconduct cases.
  • Reviewing and recommending changes to Academic Integrity and misconduct work instructions that support Swinburne and its education partners.
  • Proactively engaging with academic units and education partners to ensure a consistent approach to applying Academic Integrity procedures and managing Academic Integrity.
  • Liaising with academic staff to support the investigation of breaches of the Academic Integrity procedures.
  • Providing analysis of trends to support governance reporting and continuous improvement opportunities in academic quality.

Qualifications
  • A degree with relevant experience working in a higher education setting; or extensive experience and specialist expertise working in education/training settings; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
