East Gippsland Region Water Corporation (EGW) provides water and wastewater services to communities located in the stunning eastern region of Gippsland in Victoria with its pristine beaches, breathtaking rugged alpine landscape and surrounding countryside. It services an area of 21,000 square kilometres, approx. 50,000 people and has nine separate water supply systems and eleven individual wastewater systems. The area covered is equivalent to 10% of the area of the state and stretches from Bairnsdale to Mallacoota on the coast to Omeo and Dinner Plain in the High country. EGW's operating revenue for 2022/23 was $39.4 million and delivers the full range of retail water services, including water harvesting, storage and drinking water supply. It also provides wastewater collection and treatment services, recycled water for rural and beneficial community uses, as well as trade waste services to industrial and commercial customers. With customer centricity at its forefront, EGW is consistently rated in the top tier for Victorian water corporations as measured by its customers for trust, value for money, reputation and overall satisfaction.About the role
Reporting to the Executive Manager Sustainability and Infrastructure, the Manager Project Delivery leads the design and construction management of EGW's capital investment program. This position will also contribute to the annual capital investment program's forward planning and the long-term development of EGW's water and sewerage infrastructure. Acting as EGW's primary operational interface, the role will coordinate with strategic partners to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard in line with community expectations. Success in this role will require a blend of authentic leadership, technical ability, and strategic vision to support the delivery of East Gippsland Water's ambitious infrastructure program.About you
You are a proven capital works delivery leader with significant experience in water/sewage or recycled water engineering, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications. With an appreciation of the nuances of public sector building and construction projects, you have the execution focus needed to ensure a program of capital projects is consistently delivered on time and on budget while managing competing priorities and views across diverse stakeholder groups. An established leader in your field, you are energised by the idea of using your considerable capital works delivery abilities to support the development of water infrastructure in some of Australia's most beautiful regional areas.
