Manager Business Operations Safework NSW Business Operations and Assurance -Full Time Ongoing role-Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12, - The package includes base salary $ 139,787 - $ 161,663, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading-Location: Parramatta or Gosford Closing Date: Tuesday, 2 April 2024 @ 9:59 am (AEDT) About this role : The Manager Business Operations will collaborate closely with the Director of Business Operations and Assurance. This is a pivotal role in overseeing Business Operations within SafeWork NSW. This role will form partnerships with key business partners such as finance, procurement, human resources, governance and ICT to ensure effective and efficient Business Operations. This role will lead monitoring, analysis, reporting and coordination of Business Operations across SafeWork NSW to assist leaders in using limited resources in effective and efficient ways to optimise organisational outcomes and public value.The successful candidate is expected to have strong financial and business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex internal government processes to drive good governance and continuous improvement. This position can be based in Parramatta or Gosford, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available. However, there may be requirements to travel to other regional and metro locations as needed. Your responsibilities will include:Accountability for the delivery of financial, business, administrative and support servicesPlan, coordinate and deliver strategic advice/submissions, business cases, communications and briefs/reports to inform executive and management stakeholders to enable effective decision makingDevelop and manage the implementation and evaluation of administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency, quality of service delivery and assuranceKey challengesRespond to and resolve complex enquiries in relation to budget management and financial controls to ensure the provision of accurate information and the timely and effective resolution of issuesAnticipating and addressing contentious Business Operations issues and providing accurate advice, often within tight timeframes, given the need to collect and assimilate information from a variety of sources while maintaining confidentiality and exercising diplomacyContinually reviewing and evaluating SafeWork NSW operations and performance in a sensitive manner to recommend reforms/improvements to policies, processes and service delivery models in a high-volume working environment with competing prioritiesManaging and developing relationships with stakeholders who may have conflicting needs and priorities, and balancing sensitive and changing expectations to deliver services which meet needs and form the basis for business improvementCoordinate activities, decision making and reporting between a centralised corporate service function and SafeWork NSW business units to ensure efficient and effective Business OperationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:The ability to work across multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneouslyStrong financial and business acumenA self-motivated attitude with a high level of initiativeExcellent administration skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other software systems used in NSW Government including SAP and Service NOWDemonstrated prior experience in providing high-quality business and administrative support services in a professional and client focused mannerStrong understanding of corporate governance issues, including procurement policies and practicesIf this sounds appealing to you, we welcome your application!
