Manager Community Engagement and Communications
Are you looking for an opportunity to work for an innovative Council? As a member of the Town’s management team, this role provides an opportunity to make a real difference and to work in one of Perth’s most desirable locations.
This full-time appointment reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and will facilitate Community Engagement initiatives using a community development approach, manage corporate communications, provide internal coordination of Town projects, and actively advocate for the Town’s programs and services.
The role is responsible for ensuring the Town of East Fremantle communicates and engages effectively with community, stakeholders and staff. With responsibility for community liaison and engagement, including community events, and managing external and internal communications, the role has both an operational and strategic focus.
Salary around the $100,000 mark is on offer, plus up to 16% superannuation, generous leave conditions, and other Town focused benefits such as free parking, and health and well-being initiatives.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or considerable experience in Community Engagement and Communications, including stakeholder management and media relations.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and professional writing skills.
- Proven ability to form productive relationships with funding agencies, individuals, families, community and sporting groups, organisations, Local, State and Federal Government bodies.
