The role
You will lead a dynamic team in optimising third-party funding and managing the Queensland Health Fees and Charges Register. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely support and efficient management of funding activities, contributing directly to Queensland Health's financial sustainability and healthcare delivery.
- Negotiate, secure and maintian competitive third-party funding arrangements with Department of Veterans Affairs, Workers Compensation Insurers, Motor Accident Insurers, Private Health Insurers and Interstate Health Departments for cross-border patients to maximise cost recovery for eligible services.
- Oversee the strategic management of Queensland Health's Fees and Charges Register and associated policy framework, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
- Drive organisational change initiatives related to Own Source Revenue (OSR), fostering innovation and operational excellence.
- Establish robust reporting systems to inform evidence-based policies, enhance planning, and set benchmarks for accountability in compensable patient revenue.
- Provide critical analytical and technical support to projects advancing the System's objectives in Own Source Revenue, driving impactful outcomes.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Lead direction-setting and service delivery for the Compensable Revenue Team, demonstrating strong personal leadership qualities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, agreements, and policies to facilitate OSR generation from healthcare services delivered by HHSs.
- Experience in issue identification, analysis, problem-solving, and innovative solution development, providing strategic advice on complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including advanced written, negotiation, and consultation abilities.
