The opportunity to join our team
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Relations & Corporate Affairs Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal managing Insignia Financial's corporate communications, and contributing to our policy and advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will:
- Participate in the formulation of Insignia Financial's policy views, engaging with internal stakeholders and industry associations, and contributing to public policy consultations
- Coordinate Insignia Financial representation on industry association working groups and develop centralised resources and meeting briefs
- Manage the crisis management communications framework and assist with planning and preparation around key business events and the corporate reporting cycle (e.g., developing content, FAQs, and speechwriting for AGM)
- Maintain the IFL corporate website, including writing and updating content, and project manage the annual report, preparing content for CEO and Chairman letters and editorial content
- Work with other members of the Corporate Affairs team to ensure effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders
What you will bring
- Proven experience in the financial services industry, in a public advocacy role and Corporate Affairs function is highly desirable
- Good understanding of the political and regulatory landscape
- Effective time management and ability to exercise appropriate judgment and understand the reputational impact of policy positions
- Effective stakeholder management and project management skills
- Skill in interpreting and assessing complex policy reforms for commercial impacts
- Ability to distil complex issues into clear, concise communication
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in issues and crisis management
