Your team:
The Data and Analytics Office is part of CFSs Customer Office which is accountable for our customer's experience of the brand, products and services. The Manager, Data and Analytics reports to the Chapter Lead - Analytics. The role operates as a squad member in a cross functional team of data professionals in an agile operating model.
Your responsibilities:
- Run queries to extract and organise various types of data from multiple data sources.
- Assess data quality and remove issues - data cleansing.
- Generate insights from data sets by identifying trends and patterns.
- Create and optimise reports and visualisations.
- Contribute to the priorities by completing tasks from time to time beyond your role, e.g. supporting the engineering and science chapter
- Identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership of change initiatives.
- Complete tasks in-line with policies and procedures
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant CFS policies and external regulatory requirements.
Your capability and experience:
- Advanced mathematical and numeracy skills
- Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL and/or Python and/or R
- Experience in data cleaning and manipulation
- Experience in data analysis and insight generation - ability to identify trends, patterns that inform insights
- The ability to present complex findings in a simple and actionable way
- Good business acumen
- Effective communication skills - namely the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Creative and innovative problem solver with a customer-centric mindset.
- Tertiary degree or equivalent in a related field such as mathematics, actuarial, statistics, economics, finance, business or computer science.
- Ability to code SQL, Python and R.
- Expertise and experience in in Data Governance and Data Management,
- Relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications ideally in mathematics, actuarial, statistics, analytics, or data science.
