As Manager Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in achieving Council's objectives regarding project planning, design, and delivery. You will lead strategic planning for infrastructure investment, oversee development engineering functions, and provide critical internal service provision to our Planning Team. Your responsibilities include fostering collaboration, maintaining project management frameworks, and ensuring infrastructure needs are met efficiently and sustainably.
We are looking for someone with the technical competencies, experience, and qualifications for the role, along with a proven track record in people management and cultural change.

Key Responsibilities and Functions:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a diverse team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic leadership in infrastructure design and project management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a Project Management Framework.
- Manage transitions between project stages and ensure adherence to organizational expectations.
- Oversee Council's annual capital works program and provide technical expertise to other departments.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including developers, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
- Establish transparent reporting mechanisms for key projects.
- Contribute to Council's financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
