Eligibility: Open to EveryoneABOUT USThe South Australian Certificate of Education Board (SACE Board) of South Australia’s primary role is the provision of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to government, non-government and international schools.Our purpose is to “shape education so that students thrive” which is achieved through working closely with our stakeholders to inspire, innovate and create the best outcomes for students and their communities so that SACE Graduates are capable to construct their own futures to contribute to a sustainable and socially just world.The IMPACT you will drive at the SACE BoardThe Manager, Finance & Procurement is a member of the functional leadership team and is accountable to the Director People & Performance for leading the financial, accounting and Procurement functions and supporting the development and management of financial governance and reporting frameworks, delivering a business partnering model to assist with the achievement of the goals and objectives of the SACE Board of South Australia.What you will BRING
- Experience in management accounting and reporting, and leadership and mentoring of financial team members to deliver on financial reporting cycles.
- Provision of accurate, timely and actionable reporting through analysis of data sets, leveraging software and business intelligence applications and system improvements and presenting insightful analysis to stakeholders to support decision making.
- Prior experience with procurement activities and governance, procurement evaluations and policy, and preparation of board and subcommittee papers.
- Experience in leading a Business Partnering function with a commercial focus linking corporate functions to business operations, and in the use of reporting software to enhance organisational analysis and reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and significant experience with accounting software and business intelligence and reporting software applications is essential.
- CA / CPA candidates with leadership experience, who can demonstrate strong influencing skills, a passion for process improvement, supported by systems thinking, and the ability to lead change initiatives and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels are encouraged to apply.
- Some out-of-hours work.
- The incumbent works under the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983.
- Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check from the Department of Human Services and in accordance with the SACE Board policy.
- An intense time of activity for the Finance team within the SACE Board of South Australia occurs during December to January, and June to July. For some roles, the incumbent would not normally be able to take extensive planned leave during these times.
