As part of your role within the Graphic Design team, you will work collaboratively and independently to create and design a range of print products for schools. Attention to detail and communication will be key.
Your key duties and responsibilities include:
- Conceptualize, design and layout of various print products, such as School Yearbooks, Coffee Table books, School group photo templates and more
- Consult and engage with educational clients to design concepts for their print
- Liaise with educational clients to develop and design yearbook layouts
- Manage and motivate the Design Team to create and promote new products and services to clients
- Responsible for Graphic design departmental budget and quotes
- Develop design work for commercial clients
- Work with photo editing and proofing team to ensure all deadlines are met
- Monitor and respond to client queries and emails
To be successful for this position, you would possess the following attributes:
- Relevant Bachelor Degree plus at least 2 Years experience in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related filed
- Experience with high Volume products
- Experience with data merges in InDesign
- Experience with preparing Excel Sheets for data merges
- Experience with Timestone
- Experience with yearbook design (more than 200 pages)
- Exceptional time management and the ability to prioritise
- High attention to detail
- Experience in (School) Photography
- Able to work within time frames set for completion of jobs/tasks
- Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities
- Experience in Team Management
- Proactive approach to all aspects of the job
- Be ready to energise and push yourself and others to achieve
- Be great at problem solving and have an analytical brain
- Be self motivated, driven, experienced at delivering training
- Have a Blue Card or can commence process to obtain one
- Must bring a positive vibe to the office and work collaboratively within the team
- Any experience in the School Photography industry is desirable, but not essential
