The opportunity
This non-traditional role will see you provide support on a variety of Group FP&A initiatives across expenses, planning and management reporting – reporting into the Head of Group Expenses & Transformation. We are looking for someone who is a team player first and foremost, possesses excellent analytical skills, and has the ability to work with complex data sets that generate strategic insights to senior management.
Your new role
Responsible for regular financial reporting on the Global Technology and Operations function, including monitoring progress against expense targets and identifying key drivers of variance
Work with the IT Finance Director (London based) on expense initiatives for the Global Technology and Operations Function and contribute to the development of the 2030 IT Strategy
Support the Head of Group Expenses & Transformation in managing the finance processes underpinning the Target setting and calculation of the Group’s Annual and Long-Term Performance Incentives
Business partner with senior stakeholders across the Group on various streams of work
Work with the Group Planning and Management Reporting teams on the coordination of materials going to the CFO and CEO, Group Executive Committee and Group Board
Support the Group FP&A leadership team on various strategic initiatives
About you
Prior experience in the financial services industry, ideally in insurance but not essential
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, will also need to extract information from financial systems
Excellent analytical skills and exhibits a strategic mindset
Strong understanding of business performance drivers
Excellent team player and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across a variety of functions
Qualifications in commerce or business-related discipline
Professional accounting qualification desirable but not required – ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent
