Overview:
Join our Service Delivery (APAC) team as a manager in this key role, driving positive technology outcomes through IT Governance and Operational Service Management functions. Embed a culture of operational collaboration between technology and the Corporate Markets business. Based in Sydney (George Street or Parramatta) or Melbourne, this position offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and contribute to the Corporate Markets Technology APAC team.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Focus:
- Develop IT Service Management and IT Governance processes aligned to divisional and organizational strategies.
- Support the delivery of the Corporate Markets technology roadmap and programs.
- Ensure performance, capacity, and capability of a high-performing team.
- Drive continuous improvement across IT Service Management and IT Governance processes with a Corporate Markets-specific outcome focus.
- Strive for cost efficiencies to deliver positive financial outcomes, including leading technology responses to new business proposals (RFPs) for Service Delivery (APAC).
People Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the team to ensure a robust, skilled, and collaborative function.
- Motivate and communicate effectively with the team.
- Conduct resource planning and management, including succession planning.
- Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and develop planning with direct reports.
Operational Management:
- Build and maintain operational relationships and communications with all stakeholders.
- Establish robust technology engagement processes, including formal escalation processes.
- Drive timely resolution of production incidents, fostering collaboration and client/customer focus across teams.
- Be accountable for IT Service Delivery and IT Governance processes for Corporate Markets Technology in APAC.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables provided by the team.
- Establish visibility to stakeholders of technology performance and track improvement initiatives from initiation to completion.
- Document IT Service Delivery and IT Governance processes and maintain their currency.
- Ensure system downtime and performance degradation are avoided through the design, development, and implementation of necessary administration and maintenance procedures within the team.
Governance & Risk:
- Drive closure of Governance, Risk and Compliance matters, including Information Security Corrective Actions, GRC Incidents, Risk Mitigation tasks, and Internal Audit findings.
- Provide periodical governance metrics reporting and tracking.
- Own and manage client technology governance engagements, client due diligence, and IT Audit activities.
- Ensure the team is adequately trained and follows operational frameworks, policies & procedures.
- Participate in broader audits as required, including being the custodian for artifacts and processes managed by the Corporate Markets Service Delivery business unit.
- Ensure the team follows documented Information Security policies and principles.
Experience & Personal Attributes:
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work through competing priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience in managing teams delivering technology services within complex fast paced environments.
- Strong technical background with risk management and proven IT risk and/or IT governance skills.
- Established understanding of Share Registry business principles, both listed and unlisted, or significant exposure in the financial services industry.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate to staff across all levels within the organization.
- Solid understanding of business needs and customer focus beyond technical/technology aspects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and approach.
- Experience in business case development and analysis, quality assurance concepts, and procedures.
