About the opportunitySouthern Cross University’s Office of Business Intelligence and Quality (BIQ) is seeking a Manager, Learner Analytics and Assurance, to play a pivotal role in leading our benchmarking strategy to uphold and enhance its academic quality and standards. Working directly with the Director of Business Intelligence and Quality, this role will drive the integration of Learner Analytics into quality assurance processes, ensuring that the Universitys educational offerings are evidence-based and aligned with best practices in higher education. Core responsibilities are:
- Design and implement a comprehensive reporting schedule for key stakeholders and governing boards, applying advanced analytical skills to provide insights that enable effective oversight of academic quality.
- Lead benchmarking activities, utilizing a deep understanding of educational standards and performance metrics to compare the Universitys practices against peer institutions.
- Actively engage with the wider education sector and stay abreast of changes in the legislative environment, while advocating for the University’s values and demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and inclusivity.
You are passionate about contributing to the University's mission of delivering excellence in education and research, with a working knowledge of current governmental and related frameworks for higher education, including an understanding of quality standards, qualifications, related legislation. You will have demonstrated experience in the higher education sector, preferably in compliance, accreditation or governance. Knowledge of Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and academic quality assurance is essential. More specifically, you will have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards such qualifications, combined with extensive relevant experience. Alternatively, a blend of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in advising on appropriate methodologies for the monitoring and evaluation of student performance, with experience in drawing strategic insights from data analysis
- Strong communication skills; including the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of preparing and delivering comprehensive reports, submissions, and briefings for executive management, regulatory bodies, and across various university committees.

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Gold Coast or Lismore. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 8. The base salary ranges from $111,116- $122,525 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $143,354.
