The Role
The Peanut Company of Australia (PCA) established in 1924, processes and markets high quality peanut products and is Australia’s leading supplier of peanuts to domestic and overseas customers. These peanuts make up Bega's beloved peanut butter varieties that are enjoyed by consumers globally.
We’re seeking a Quality Manager for a small team of technical staff ensuring effective systems are in place so that all product and processes achieve required Quality, Food Safety & Environmental standards, while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Create and coordinate advancement in technical practices through analysis, communication, and general facilitation of continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
Facilitate stakeholder engagement in relation to the implementation of strategic and operational plans for Quality, Food Safety, and the Environment
Coordinate the preparation of timely and correct reporting of matters relating to Quality and Environment
Provide leadership and support to a small team of technical staff while fostering a strong team culture of accountability and capability
Create value through continuous improvement programs while ensuring buy-in across the site
Manage and coordinate third party accreditation programs – HACCP, SQF, etc
About you
Degree qualification in food science or string experience in a similar role within FMCG
Experience in implementing and maintaining 3rd Party and Regulatory Quality Management Standards within an FMCG environment
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, being able to facilitate change through continuous improvement activities
Sound knowledge of laboratory, quality, and environmental management systems.
Brings a fun, fresh personality and a can-do attitude to the site
