The Manager, Library Quality and Planning plays an integral role within the University Library by providing advanced support to achieve the Library’s strategic goals in quality management, planning, and development.
The Manager, Library Quality and Planning significantly contributes to strategic and operational initiatives across the entire Library service and staff structure, supporting the delivery of the Library’s goals.
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will use data insights to employ evidence-based practices, enacting continuous improvements, driving business planning and service development in line with the strategic goals of the University Library.
They will develop a nuanced understanding of the library staff’s unique responsibilities and skill sets, identifying growth opportunities and assisting senior leaders.
Do you have the following attributes?
- Proven experience in quality management, planning, and/or staff development activities in higher education or equivalent level of knowledge gained through education/training and/or experience.
- Advanced skills in service management and performance metrics in a Library or higher education environment, including data analysis, visualisation, and dashboards.
- Demonstrated understanding of the opportunities and issues that academic libraries face in 2024 and beyond, and the contribution that quality and planning processes can make to ensure UNSW Library achieves its objectives.
