About the Business – Office of the Chief Information Officer
The Office of the Chief Information Officer is partnering with Harrison McMillan to undertake the recruitment of this role.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) enables a more connected and secure government so that South Australia Government agencies can better serve our community. We do this by developing and delivering resilient and innovative ICT and cyber security services and critical infrastructure to SA Government agencies that are accessible, trusted and secure.

The Manager, Network Security Governance is accountable to the Director Infrastructure and Customer Service for the provision of effective governance for several central functions across the South Australian Government data networks. The incumbent will ensure that OCIO’s business strategies are enforced throughout every process / approval / review in accordance with the ‘StateNet Conditions of Connection’ and ‘South Australia Cyber Security Framework (SACSF)’. The role will also provide technical support to OCIO and all SA Government Agencies and ensure that changes to the StateNet environment are in line with SA Government policies.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Applicants will be required to undergo the appropriate and relevant Employment Screening Assessment(s) required for this role in line with the DPC Employment Screening Policy.
- Some work outside normal hours and some intrastate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
- Working within a confidential, commercially orientated and at times, politically sensitive environment.
- OCIO fulfils the role of the Control Agency for Cyber Crisis on behalf of DPC, as specified in the State Emergency Management Plan. You may be required to participate in Control Agency responsibilities subject to appropriate training and induction.

- This role requires: Security Clearance - Negative Vetting Level 1 (agency to apply post-commencement)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or related experience in an ICT discipline, Certified Information Security Systems Professional and/or Certified Information Security Manager.
