The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.  We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service. 

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Sub Acute and Allied Health Directorate within WCHN as a Senior Manager of Safety, Quality, and Research in a full-time ongoing capacity.

This role involves:

  • Lead clinical and service improvements in the Sub Acute and Allied Health Directorate.
  • Drive quality improvement, safety, and Research initiatives.
  • Strategically monitor and evaluate clinical and non-clinical service quality improvement programs.
  • Ensure compliance and manage associated risks.
  • Manage key divisional projects as delegated by the Director.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate quality, risk, and performance systems.
  • Support and promote research initiatives of the Directorate.
  • Ensure alignment with WCHN, State, and National safety and quality frameworks, including NSQHS Standards and Health Reform agenda.

About You

To be eligible and successful for this role you would need:

  • A degree level qualification in a recognised Allied Health profession.
  • To be registered with the appropriate professional body or eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
  • To be proficient in project management, leadership, and quality management.
  • Effective collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Skills in problem-solving and decision-making at all levels.
  • To have a strong commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Ethical Conduct, and safety principles.
  • Experience in leading change and managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare leadership, quality improvement, and patient safety.
