How you'll make a difference:
The Manager, Nursing & Midwifery, will lead the Nursing & Midwifery team in the Workforce Strategy & Planning Branch. The successful applicant has overall responsibility for providing advice to internal and external partners, leading cross-cutting and inter-disciplinary policy work including legislative and regulatory change and program administration. The role will support the policy team to deliver on strategic projects and lead the design and initial implementation of workforce programs and initiatives with a focus on innovation and the needs of Victoria's health system into the future.
Working in collaboration with numerous internal and external stakeholders (including peak bodies, unions, health services, regulation, training and accreditation agencies), the Manager will demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills as well as ability to influence others to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforce and improve outcomes for Victorians.
