Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Cardiac Services UnitThis is a Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time position offering up to 75 hours per fortnight.Take your skills to the next level as part of the Ramsay Team! A key leadershipAbout the RoleIn this role you will be joining our dynamic Cardiac Services Unit (Coronary Care). We have 36 Cardiac Monitored beds servicing 4 Cardiac Cath Labs. Patient procedures include Complex Cardiac Angiography and Stenting, Pacemakers, EPS Studies & Ablation, Watchman devices, TAVI and Mitral Clip procedures. Cardiothoracic Surgery include Cardiac Bypass and Valve Surgeries. The ward also services acute cardiac patients requiring critical care monitoring including inotrope & anti-arrhythmia therapy and APO treatment.In this position you will be taking on a key leadership role. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in the efficient management of staff and resources within the unit ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures, best practice and legislative requirements. You will also be required to oversee the activities of the unit when the Nurse Unit Manager is absent. You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses alongside a supportive leadership team so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed. - Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Post Graduate studies in Critical Care or Coronary Care (essential)
- 3-4 years' experience in a Coronary Care Unit will be ideal for this role.
- Any clinical leadership experience or post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded, although not essential.
- Able to use critical thinking in decision making
- Management skills and experience
- Enjoys working in a high paced, busy unit and has an excellent work ethic with a team focus
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
