The Role:
As the Manager of Economic Development, you’ll be a key player in our Executive Leadership Team, shaping the future of Quilpie Shire Council and our community.
This role reports directly to the CEO, tasked with driving economic growth and business enhancement. It fosters community and regional development through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Actively identifying, developing, and implementing Economic Development initiatives
- Managing and implementing the Quilpie Shire Economic Development Strategy
- Leading projects that promote tourism, Economic Development, and employment creation
- Developing regionally aligned Economic Development strategies and plans
- Providing support to the business community to become more competitive
- Undertaking marketing analysis and developing new products and services
- Managing Economic Development campaigns and analyzing their effectiveness
- Engaging in effective communication, organisation, and administration for Economic Development activities
