Your new role
The Funds Private Market Assets are growing rapidly. We need to ensure our systems and processes remain fit for purpose as we grow.
The Private Market Operations team will be supporting a recently adopted Portfolio Management System to manage the Fund's Private Market Assets (Infrastructure, Property, Private Credit, and Private Equity).
The Manager, Operations Product Owner role is designed to be a central point of accountability for the Private Assets Portfolio Management System ('PAMPS) within the Fund Services & Private Market Operations Group that:
- is responsible for recommending the future state (strategy & design) of the project, including alignment, and contribution, to overall Group and Fund strategies.
- Is the first point of contact for domain knowledge & access to business expertise/resources.
- has visibility and oversight of all change into or impacting the business function, including delivery of enhancements & continuous improvement.
- leads execution of the project, including removing roadblocks and expediting effective & efficient decisions, and ensuring requirements & solution design deliver on the strategic objectives for the Domain.
- acts as a single adviser to senior team and to decision making forums regarding overarching project matters such as architectural fit, access rights, onboarding, documentation.
- acts as a representative of decisions makers and advocates their vision of how the PAPMS should be implemented and operationalised.
- Understand the requirements of the different Operational Teams for Private Market Assets (Infrastructure, Property, Private Credit, and Private Equity) and how they intend to use the PAPMS and support the operational management of the PAPMS.
- Have deep connections to business teams within your domain to facilitate the exchange of knowledge & expertise into projects (and across the Fund as required).
- Ensure that we are consistently future thinking to build for our growth, creating a compelling change vision.
- Balance strategic & practical concerns to ensure that we are being cost effective while still delivering on the future state vision.
- Lead and manage delivery of changes to the PAPMS, including prioritisation of requirements based on best interests of members and the Fund, and management of interdependencies.
- Be the champion of the PAPMS - sharing the vision and embedding best practice - but always maintaining a One Fund, One Portfolio focus.
- SME knowledge with demonstrated acumen & experience in unlisted portfolio models.
- A tertiary qualification in investments, business, finance or technology, or commensurate experience.
- At least 5 years' experience working at a senior level in the financial services industry
- Combination of technical aptitude / judgement, commercial acumen and product management skills
- Ability to synthesise complex (often technical) detail into meaningful and readily consumable information that helps inform decision making.
- Ability to not only liaise with a range of staff, key stakeholders and service providers but influence them to drive change.
- Ability to balance competing needs and make decisions based on best outcomes for members.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and research skills, with a strong attention to detail and consideration of business impact.
