AddressBarclay Motor Inn is looking for an experienced and competent Management Couple or Manager to manage Barclay Motor Inn located in the stunning location of Devonport, Tasmania.

Vertua Opportunities Fund - the management company - will provide support in marketing, general accounts, accounts payable and receivable. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager, leveraging your strong business acumen in implementing strategies to improve the performance of the business. Unique to Vertua Opportunity Funds other assets, this position allows for flexibility of skill sets.
To succeed you will need to have experience in Hotel Management, be confident with being autonomous in your decision making and have a 'hands on' approach while leading a small team.
This is not a Motel Management position for anyone new in the industry. Experience in a similar role is a essential!
It is also important that, you can demonstrate the following:
- Experience with managing all aspects of accommodation. This includes reception, reservations, with a good working knowledge of RMS or similar reservation software;
- Running an efficient housekeeping team, ensuring rooms are consistently clean and excellently presented;
- An ability to recruit, train and manage employees of all levels, whilst controlling wage costs;
- Sound financial skills and business acumen; and
- A solid understanding of budgeting and maintaining operational costs and revenue to budget.
- Sound technical skills to use up to date software required to enhance business operations
You will also have:
- The ability to manage time effectively;
- Understand the marketing channels to increase business;
- High attention to detail;
- A very good understanding of a modern office environment;
- Superior communication and customer service skills;
- Good clerical and computer skills including proficient use of Office 365;
- Exceptional presentation with a professional demeanour; and
- Ability to manage and work within a team environment.

Your Package will include:
- A modern 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom managers residence, suitable for a couple or small family (Unfortunately no pets are allowed)
- An attractive salary to cover a full 5 days a week with the standard 4 weeks annual leave and Super.
We are looking for a couple/manager who can commit to a minimum 3 year period.
