The role:
- Lead and identify internal and external opportunities to meet the objectives of protecting and promoting the health of Tasmanians with a focus on equity and strategic partnerships.
- Guide and develop an understanding of Public Health Services (PHS) changing priorities, services and programs across Public Health Services (PHS) and with external stakeholders.
- Establish, develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of government, University of Tasmania (UTAS) and the community sector.
- Work with PHS staff to provide authoritative advice, expertise, information and support to facilitate public health action externally.
- Inspire a high performance culture amongst staff to meet Public Health Services (PHS) objectives and ensure Public Health Services (PHS) staff are motivated, empowered, skilled and flexible to deliver Public Health Services (PHS) new and existing priorities in programs and services.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 6 months.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $135,408 to $144,527 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in public health.
