Overview:
- The Manager, Performance and Evidence is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of Aboriginal health data collection. Oversight of the design and delivery of data analysis and reporting systems to enable transparent monitoring and accountability for Aboriginal health across the health system and demonstrate the performance of the system in delivering healthcare for Aboriginal people, including through South Australia’s commitments to Closing The Gap (CTG).
- The role provides systemwide leadership and advice on Aboriginal health data, evaluation and research matters and builds capacity across the system in relation to data governance, measurement, collection, analysis and reporting methods, ensuring the alignment of data practices and standards with Indigenous sovereignty requirements.
- The Manager Performance and Evidence oversees the work of the Performance and Evidence Team and works closely with Aboriginal Health Unit staff and other internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to strengthen the strategic use of data across the system to build system intelligence to ensure performance, evaluation and Evidence is applied and to inform Aboriginal health priorities, policy development and decision-making.
