About the role:
Exciting and rewarding internal opportunity as the Manager (Principal) of our BHI Schools Unit! This role is a full time, ongoing opportunity.
Within this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and compliance of all senior secondary educational certificates including VCE/VM and establish the Schools Unit as a ‘centre of excellence’. You will be leading and managing a team of Coordinators/Teachers around the development and delivery of VCE, VM programs that support the strategic plan of the Institute.
The Manager (Principal) drives educational excellence throughout the team, oversight of the budget, generate growth through building new business opportunities and diversifying products and maintain a positive and safe environment for students and the team alike. This role will play a key part in developing and implementing strategies to enhancing student experience, improving student retention, satisfaction and employment outcomes or continuing educational pathways.
The Manager (Principal) will ensure that BHI retains its pre-eminent position as a quality non-school senior secondary education provider and provider of choice for VECE/VM programs. This involves establishing and maintaining productive relationships with the relevant community, government agencies, schools, families and relevant industry groups.

About You:
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience.
- Demonstrated capacity to think and plan strategically, in a diverse and complex stakeholder environment.
- High level of problem solving skills with the ability to exercise significant judgement and initiative when addressing complex problems and providing advice.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, direct and influence others, including a proven capacity to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external groups.
- Proven experience managing and implementing strategic projects.
- Demonstrated marketing, business development and relationship management experience that have been shown to increase value, volume and satisfaction of customers.
- Commercial acumen and history of strong compliance with relevant legislation and regulations; financial, regulatory, planning, budgeting and reporting, and commercial project assessment.
- High-level understanding of the Skills First funding regulations, VRQA non-school registration regulations, VCAA handbook and applicable VCE and VM Frameworks and knowledgeable understanding around the VCAA Vocational VETDSS and SBAT Framework.
