INTRODUCTION:
Our Grinding, Bulk and Pyro Services division, based in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a talented Manager to lead the Project Managment team. You should have experience with large mining process equipment upgrade projects, ideally with a focus on Bulk Material Handling within the iron ore sector.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Project team
• Ensuring project work is allocated appropriately and completed efficiently and effectively
• Motivating and inspiring the team
• Leading team meetings
• Providing support and guidance to team members - technical, process and personal
• Setting targets, implementing guidelines, and supporting employees to solve issues that may arise
• Ensuring the team's objectives are fully understood by all members and that they work closely to fulfill them
• Supporting employees with training and development activities to ensure they have the necessary skills, knowledge and tools to deliver the desired results
• Ongoing performance review of employees
• Building and maintaining relationships with team sponsors, e.g. Services, Sales, Business Lines, etc.
• Identify and resolve issues preventing the team from successfully completing their work
• Developing and tracking the operating budget for the team
• Resource planning to ensure team size and competencies match the workload
• Active interaction with co-workers and employees, listening to ideas or concerns, and effectively communicating to implement changes to keep the team moving in a positive direction
• Supporting employees with customer and supplier issues where resolution may be difficult to achieve
• Being a member of the Delivery Management team and contributing to strategic decision making
• Working closely with other Managers to ensure alignment of working practices

WHO YOU ARE:

• Significant experience in the mining industry or mineral processing
• 10+ years of project management experience
• A proven track record of professional accomplishment and reliability
• Strong leadership and communication skills (including listening) with an open / honest approach
• The ability to work with others in a matrix structure from a range of cultures within a diverse political, economic, technical and social environment
• Empowerment, delegation, prioritization & decision-making ability. Results driven
• Ability to influence; negotiating skills
• Knowledge of relevant Project tools (MS Project, SAP, etc.)
• Ability to provide clarity and understanding
• Strong customer support ethic
