About the Role

Reporting to General Manager, Outreach - The Psychosocial Outreach Services Manager oversees the daily operations of various community outreach programs such as Commonwealth Psychosocial Supports (CPS), Recovery Outreach Service (ROS), and Moorditj Djerpin Wirrin (MDW). This role is pivotal in managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with funding contracts, and driving continuous improvements in service delivery.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality services to consumers, ensuring adherence to funding requirements and organisational policies.
  • Develop and review work practices, procedures, and methodologies as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in Quality Assurance processes, including audits and timely escalation of issues.
  • Ensure a safe working environment in consultation with team members.
  • Follow up on incidents, investigations, and complaints, partnering with People & Capability and Quality, Governance, and Risk as required.
  • Identify risks and continuous improvement opportunities in service delivery.
  • Implement and support operational plans driven by the RW Strategic Plan in partnership with the GM, Outreach.
  • Provide accurate and timely services’ reports, reviews, and evaluations.
  • Monitor services’ budgets and ensure responsible resource allocation.
  • Manage services waitlists efficiently.

People Management:

  • Collaborate with People & Capability and Team Leaders on recruitment, selection, and appointment of staff.
  • Coordinate and manage students and volunteers within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure appropriate service coverage by managing employee leave effectively.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to direct reports.
  • Undertake performance management and address underperformance promptly.
  • Facilitate team meetings and foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Promote training and professional development opportunities for staff.

Organisational Leadership:

  • Demonstrate values-based leadership and behaviours.
  • Contribute to a work environment that values employee contributions and builds engagement.
  • Participate in organisational events to promote inclusion and belonging.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote referrals and partnerships
  • Represent and promote RW services on committees and working groups.
  • Provide specialist advice and support for RW projects and programs.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will possess;

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

Experience and Skills

  • Deep understanding of Mental Health Social Policy, specifically the NDIS.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams in an outreach setting.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and meeting contractual outcomes.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and client databases.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and ability to work with culturally diverse groups is highly desirable.

Other Requirements

  • National Police Clearance.
  • Valid WA driver’s license.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.
  • A valid NDIS Screen Check
