A tier 2 commercial construction company with over 50 years proven experience in Australia. They are a privately owned business with a strong National presence. Targeting projects up to $200M here in WA they have proven experience in schools, commercial offices, retail, industrial, recreation, schools, transport, aged care and hospitals.
They are currently looking for a couple of Building Services Manager to join the team. This would be site-based role reporting into a Project Manager and leading the delivery of all building services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, communication, security, BMS) for major projects between $50-$250M. This would be everything from liaising with services consultants, selecting and appointing services subcontractors, resolving technical & design issues, managing subcontractors and managing the commissioning process.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Or relevant trade background with experience in a leadership role.
- Previous experience as a Services Manager for a main contractor or Project Manager for a mechanical or electrical subcontractor.
- Commercial building experience is essential.
- Local experience in Perth is essential and a knowledge base of relevant building services subcontractors
- Experience working for a main contractor is preferred, however they will also consider candidates from a mechanical or electrical subcontractor.
- Site based role delivering the building services packages (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, communication)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
