About the role:
As the leader of VLA's Quality Assurance program, you will manage a team of legal quality auditors and compliance officers. Your responsibilities include promoting quality legally aided services, managing Quality Assurance responses, and maintaining accurate records of quality audit and compliance results. You will also be responsible for implementing a new framework, policies and procedures to support continuous improvement in legal practice. Additionally, you will represent the Legal Practice Directorate on internal and external groups and committees, providing strategic support to the Associate Director, Grants and Quality Assurance, and the VLA leadership team.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in or demonstrated understanding of legal practice management, legal administration or investigations.
- Demonstrated people management and leadership capabilities including proven experience in successfully developing, managing and motivating a team.
- Knowledge of or an ability to quickly gain knowledge of Quality Assurance and risk management principles.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
