Form of workLocated in Geelong, M.C. Herd is a large export meat processing facility supplying Australian lamb, sheep and beef to both local and overseas markets. Currently we have an exciting career opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee our QA program by maintaining an effective QA program within a top tier food safety environment
- Implement/enforce requirements for all SOP's relevant for Halal, DAFF and HACCP programs
- Assist in training employees and supervisory staff
- Lead the QA team and to ensure that internal audits and audits by external stakeholders including Department of Agriculture, customers and food safety regulators are completed
- Investigate food safety complaints and providing a food safe work environment
- Provide advice to Senior Management on compliance issues
- Write procedures, programs and processes in compliance with all relevant food safety programs.
- Manage document control process for the site
About you
Ideal applicant will possess the following
- High level of computer literacy using Microsoft office suite and relevant documentation systems
- Knowledge of quality systems in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience managing a high performing team
- FMCG background and experience, HACCP, GFSI and food safety
Preferable skills/knowledge
- Meat industry experience knowledge
- Possession of AUS-MEAT Qualifications
- Ability to provide detailed reports to external and internal stakeholders
