Consumer Protection is seeking applications for a permanent appointment as Manager Regional Services.
About the role
The Manager Regional Services sits within the Conciliation and Services Directorate, responsible for conciliation and trader intervention activities assisting businesses and consumers resolve disputes, and to remedy improper practices that impact consumers, bonds administration managing the smooth operation of the lodging and disposal of bonds for tenants and landlords and Regional Services representing Consumer Protection in the regions.
In this role you will provide strategic direction, leadership and management to the Regional Services team who represent Consumer Protection in the regions and assist with all aspects of the activities of Consumer Protection.
This role will include travel to regional locations to support the team and engage with stakeholders.
Your extensive experience will assist you in providing operational advice to the team on challenging issues and personally responding to complex and sensitive regional matters which are escalated.
You will require strong communication and interpersonal skills to proactively engage with community, media, industry, traders, local government and other key stakeholders in regions to represent and promote Consumer Protection.
