The Role
The Manager Regulatory Services leads and oversees the Town's regulatory functions, ensuring compliance with legislation and optimal customer-focused outcomes. This vital role fosters a motivated team, drives innovation and manages staff development and performance. Additionally, this position contributes to the strategic leadership of the Town and ensures clear communication and implementation of the Town’s policies and decisions.
Selection Criteria
- Substantial experience in a senior leadership or management role, including highly developed change management skills.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage diverse stakeholder relationships, and negotiate and influence outcomes.
- Substantial knowledge, interpretation and application of legislation.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of compliance and enforcement methodology.
- Sound knowledge of computer applications and technology solutions to aid business intelligence.
- Experience in financial management and reporting.
- Knowledge of emergency management principles.
- An understanding of the political nature of local government and collaborative working with broad scope stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field (Business, Health, Law Enforcement, Public Administration) is desirable, or considerable demonstrated work experience of the same.
