Address MANAGER, RESEARCH STRATEGY AND POLICY OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR (RESEARCH)JOONDALUP CAMPUS SALARY RANGE: $127,851 - $133,704pa (HEW 9)ONGOING, FULL TIMEOverview ECU is seeking a Research Strategy and Policy manager with experience in the Australian higher education sector to provide strategic advice to support decision-making at the University and manage the implementation of a range of University-wide strategic projects and priorities on behalf of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research). To succeed in this role, you must have:
Experience in policy and/or strategy development within the higher education sector.
A thorough understanding of the higher education research environment and knowledge of the national and international drivers impacting university research to the able to make strategic recommendations to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).
Excellent analytical skills in order to develop, implement and monitor strategic plans and initiatives.
Strong project management and organisational skills to effectively coordinate and implement University-wide projects.
Outstanding written communication skills to craft submissions to government and other relevant external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders internal and external to the University, and build consensus.
An understanding of university governance would be an advantage.

Note that 3.5% pay increase is scheduled for July 2024.
