Job description

At CommBank we believe in working somewhere that works for you. We have many flexible working options available so talk to us about which arrangements could work best for you.

You are a curious and enthusiastic individual with a true passion for Credit Risk.

We are a highly engaged team with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Together we can build a brighter future for our customers and communities and provide insightful risk leadership across the Group.

See yourself in our team:

Risk Management is responsible for protecting the Group's and Bankwest's interests by offering insightful risk leadership and a commercial yet independent approach to managing risks. The Board and Regulators trust Risk Management to be the line of defence that ensures returns are achieved within an acceptable level of risk.

Do work that matters:

Here in RBS Risk Management, we support flexible working. Our teams have adopted hybrid working, where we complement coming into the workplace with working remotely. When the balance is right, we leverage the best of independent, focused time with in-person collaboration and connection.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Effective project management of RBS Risk owned data delivery, including but not limited to RBS IRB (Capital) and AASB9 (Provisioning) models.
  • Developing tooling to provide assurance and controls over the data delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure appropriate engagement across a diverse group of people to ensure optimal solutions.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

Please note that we're interested in hearing from people who might not meet all the following criteria. We're open to working with the right candidate to fill any skill gaps during your journey at CommBank.

  • Proven experience working in an Analytics Data role with SQL, R or Python.
  • Understanding credit risk frameworks (Basel II, Basel III, AASB9), risk measurement frameworks, in particular, for Credit Risk.
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, handling change and deadlines.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to succinctly articulate data delivery requirements and advice to diverse audiences.
  • Degree qualified in technical discipline or a relevant quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or Statistics is desirable.

If this sounds like you, apply now!

If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application. We're keen to support you with the next step in your career.

We're aware of some accessibility issues on this site, particularly for screen reader users. We want to make finding your dream job as easy as possible, so if you require additional support please contact HR Direct on 1800 989 696.
