Risk and Compliance Manager - Note Issue

As part of the Note Issue Department, you will lead a small team to uplift risk practices, risk culture, and drive positive risk behaviours in the work of the Department.
Your effectiveness to understand complexity and your natural ability to develop positive and professional stakeholder engagements across all the teams in Note Issue will add value to all as you succeed in driving and maintaining a strong risk culture. You will have expertise in business continuity and strong knowledge of best practices in risk, operational resilience, and control frameworks.
Your ability to provide oversight, support and advice on risk, business continuity and governance, and to take the lead during business continuity events will see you ensure Note Issue can be at the forefront of risk management practice. You will also demonstrate your passion to empower a small team of thee risk analysts that will unlock team collaboration and a high performing team culture.
Your Risk Management background
Providing advice, deliver risk management and control monitoring services aligned to the organisation's strategic goals, ensuring all compliance obligations are met.
Leadership and development of teams to effectively achieve successful team and department outcomes.
Effectively communicate Risk and Compliance-based analysis, information and assessments and manage risks and issues.
Identification and anticipation of Risk and/or compliance-related challenges.
Strong understanding of complexity within mid-large enterprise organisations and area-specific policies, processes to monitor and guide on compliance to influence quality outcomes.
Coordination of contingency plans and their regular testing
Leading the operation of a contingency coordination group, ensuring decisions and actions are fully documented, reviewed and implemented
Current industry best practice regarding Risk and/or compliance frameworks/practices across a broad range of quantitative/qualitative analytical situations and tasks.
Experience in representing the department across the Bank or similar organisation.
Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, risk, compliance or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
