Eligibility: Open to EveryoneDepartment of Treasury and FinanceThe Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for economic, social and financial policy outcomes.We play a vital role in providing financial services to the community and economic and fiscal policy advice to the Government of South Australia.The Department of Treasury and Finance actively promotes flexible working arrangements and values diversity in the workplace.Information & Technology BranchThe Information and Technology (I&T) branch plays an important role for the department responsible for a full suite of centrally delivered digital services, ranging from high quality support to the delivery of innovative and transformative initiatives, to assist in enabling our commitment to being a world class Treasury.What this role is responsible for: * Setting objectives and direction for the department’s digital Service Delivery instilling a culture of high-quality customer service and continuous improvement.
- Leading and managing the Service Delivery capability by addressing issues such as operational planning, resource allocation, staff development, team management and communication to ensure effective and efficient deployment of staff and resources to ensure client and business outcomes are achieved.
- Leading and managing the Service Improvement team’s delivery of continual service improvements, policies and guidelines, including alignment with ITIL standards, ensuring improved Service Delivery efficiency.
- Leading, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating strategies, projects, policies and services that contribute to the strategic goals and vision of the department and government.
- Ensuring the development and implementation of policies and standards relating to Service Delivery within the department that are in line with the overall policies of the department and government.
- Significantly contributing to the effective planning, management and delivery of I&T branch’s functions, goals and objectives.
- Ensuring effective planning, development, implementation and evaluation of major and complex projects.
- Maintaining knowledge of contemporary techniques and information technology developments for Service Delivery best practice relevant to departmental needs.
- Temporary Term Contract for up to 12 months.
- Some out of hours work may be required. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent will be required to participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program.
- The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department.
- Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services General Employment Probity Check. A renewal will be required every three years.
