The Opportunity

We are looking for an outcome focused leader with a passion for Stakeholder Engagement, placemaking and heritage.  In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative Stakeholder Engagement plans and strategies, implementing and evolving Maritime’s Stakeholder Engagement framework and providing expert advice on stakeholder management and place management in Maritime.

You will be given the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the diverse business areas in Maritime. You will be at the forefront of decision making, providing strategic advice, and coaching to all levels to design, and establish Stakeholder Engagement plans & strategies and lead Maritime’s cultural heritage engagement function.

Our ideal candidate will have effective leadership and people management skills and an excellent ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.  You will have substantial experience providing strategic advice, as well as the ability to analyse complex issues and propose innovative solutions that achieve results.

There is currently one (1) permanent fulltime position available for immediate filling.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience delivering comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement activities, with high attention to detail, preferably for infrastructure projects or a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience in managing human and organisational resources and budgets for a range of communications and marketing initiatives.
  • High level interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management and build and maintain strong links with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage, liaise and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed conceptual, problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet concurrent deadlines.
