As Manager, Strategic Policy and Planning, you will:
- draw on your considerable knowledge and experience to provide professional and organisational leadership;
- contribute to the success of the team by managing, developing and contributing to strategic and evidence-based policy and planning advice and options, and emerging strategy, policy issues and reforms relevant to the work of Public Trustee(PT), including its planning delivery cycle;
- manage and deliver the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic policy and planning frameworks and responses which enable the achievement of PT's vision, and alignment with broader government objectives.
- Develop and provide strategic policy and planning strategies, advice and options, as well as design, implement and evaluate policies, programs and projects to shape PT's forward strategic agenda, policy development and implementation and planning objectives.
- Identify, research, develop, analyse and evaluate complex strategic policy and planning options and provide high level evidence-based advice, identifying, analysing and managing strategic issues, navigating ambiguity, formulating innovative and workable options and solutions, and supporting informed decision making in a complex environment.
- Manage executable plans, gathering and analysing insights and working collaboratively across the organisation, to form positions founded in data, analysis and sector insights, and conceptualise systems-wide benefits to catalyse improvements to strategy, legislation, policies and practices.
- Prepare major policy papers, submissions, briefs, memoranda and correspondence on complex issues, and provide input into, coordinate and/or review, cabinet submissions and policy and strategy proposals.
- Represent and coordinate contributions for the division and PT at a range of forums including external stakeholder, inter-agency and inter-governmental meetings.
- Liaise, collaborate and negotiate with other agencies and external stakeholders on a range of policy, program and project issues within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary projects teams or cross-agency projects to plan, develop, implement and evaluate key policies, programs and projects.
