Outreach and Future Students Division is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Student Life) (DVCASL) portfolio and works closely with and across all of the University’s academic faculties and professional service departments. The Division manages and delivers excellence in services for future UOW students and works to provide widening participation and enabling opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds.
The Strategic Projects team has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Programs Manger to play a key role in coordinating the development, implementation and improvement of student recruitment, outreach and widening participation activities across all UOW Australia Campuses.
Working collaboratively and supporting the Senior Manager, Strategic Programs you will assist to identify strategic projects. This includes advocating for the needs of future students in the development of transformative initiatives, from initial exploration to business case development. Additionally, you will engage closely with students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, as well as regional, rural, and remote areas. Your responsibilities include designing programs that provide support to future students throughout their pre-university journeys and into UOW as needed.
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in analysing data and making recommendations. You will demonstrate a high level of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, along with experience in coordinating complex projects to achieve strategic goals. Your experience in areas such as student Widening Participation, enabling or recruitment programs, marketing or similar in a higher education environment will be highly regarded.
