Primary Connect is a core division of Woolworths Group. We’re delivering to more than 3,000 retail stores every day (stores like Woolworths, BIG W, Dan Murphy’s, and BWS) and have an exciting pipeline of opportunities to come as we transform and grow our supply chain network.
What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Transformation Program Manager to lead supply chain programs where you will lead a portfolio of multiple workstreams that collectively deliver targeted benefits.
You’ll initially be assigned to the Moorebank program as a Program Manager where you’ll be part of a team delivering two new automated distribution centres. The program is the largest supply chain Transformation Program Woolworths Group has ever invested in and represents a step change in our systems, our infrastructure and our team.
- You’ll be managing a team of project managers, working with subject matter experts from multiple divisions and will be responsible for:
- Managing the end to end delivery of the program including owning the program schedule, budget, team development, and quality.
- Managing the critical path including accountability for interdependencies, escalation of issues and ensuring risks are mitigated
- Maintaining correct governance and assurance, complying with the Woolworths project management framework.
- Owning the business case, ensuring all variations to scope and targeted benefits are reflected and that targeted outcomes are delivered
- Reporting progress including preparing and presenting program updates to senior stakeholders
- Partnering with business leaders to continuously align the program strategy, contributing to key business planning such as Quarterly Business Reviews and Investment Forums, Budgeting or Resource planning
What you’ll bring
- You'll have demonstrated experience in delivering large scale transformational projects in large and complex organisations
- At least 10 years of program management experience, ideally in a supply chain, transport, automation or manufacturing environment.
- Depth of experience on how aspects of Program or Project delivery work - such as managing end to end commissioning and transition activities and deliverables within a project including benefits realisation tracking.
- Strong financial competence and previous success in delivering projects with capex budgets exceeding $20 million
- Demonstrating expertise in handling complex interdependencies and strong influencing and negotiating capability
- Exceptional communication skills with experience of presenting updates to senior executive forums.
- Previous experience in forging connections, positive relationships with senior leaders/collaborators, colleagues and associates in a variety of different roles and functional areas
Desirable Skills:
Experience across design, implementation, operations, support, or engaging with providers such as Vanderlande, Dematic, Schaefer, Swisslog, or Witron.
Working knowledge of the development and construction of stores or large facilities (Distribution Centres or similar).
