CommBank’s Structured Trade Finance team is looking for a Manager to join our Structured Trade Solutions and Field Examination team, which provides exceptional service to clients on their Traditional, Structured Trade, Working Capital, Borrowing Based and Supply Chain Finance needs while also providing onsite and online auditing and examination of client practices and processes.The Role.
As a Manager with the Structured Tradeand Field Examination team, you will also be the co-ordination point for pre settlement and post settlement in-person/onsite and desktop/online warehouse and invoice reviews. You will also be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in relation to Global Trade Finance warehouse and invoice reviews.You will be required to travel, from time-to-time, to various locations and customers to perform in-Field Examination and review their process and systems. There will also be a requirement to perform desktop invoice auditing across the Global Trade Finance clients. You will also maintain a high degree of accounting, commodity and commercial market knowledge relating to both domestic and international trade activities.You will assist with facility implementation and on boarding of Structured Trade Finance clients and will collaborate and work alongside sales specialist and relationship management teams to ensure a high-quality experience for our customers.On any given day you will:
- Manage and Co-ordinating all Global Trade FinanceField Examination activities, both physical on-site and desktop, across the Traditional and Structured trade facilities in the bank.
- Support the banks Trade Finance front office through specialised transaction administration for, Structured TradeFinance and Supply Chain products.
- Establish relationships with internal and external counterparties to arrange desktop and Field Examinations of both Inventory and receivable data.
- Help establish operating procedures for all existing and new client facilities within compliance and internal audit requirements.
- Report all risk or breaches in facilities to Risk, Sales and Relationship Executives.
Strong knowledge of Trade Finance or Structured Trade Finance products (including Inventory and Supply Chain Finance) and risks, mitigating actions, and main customers. You will have strong prioritisation skills and will be comfortable working autonomously and travelling to various locations for examination.You will also have:
- Knowledge of financing Hard and Soft commodity products through Structured Trade Finance
- Broad knowledge of the standard Trade Finance processes, including trade settlement process, the documentation and systems used internationally to facilitate Trade Finance.
- Understanding of accounting principles and their application to supply chains and financing Working Capital
- Ability to understand a clients financial reporting in relation to Inventory, Payables and Receivables.
- Commercially focused with strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand and analyse facility agreements.
- Acute attention to detail and understanding of upstream and downstream processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships, through the delivery of exceptional service
