What you'll do

• Manage payroll processes, oversee employment disbursements, and handle superannuation payments.
• Assist with tax compliance, prepare BAS/IAS filings, ensure accurate payment of GST and PAYG, assist with income tax returns in collaboration with external advisors, and handle payroll tax matters.
• Support the external audit process by providing information and addressing audit queries, working with external advisors as needed.
• Assist with business modelling and rollover forecasts.
• Oversee card expenses, accruals, and invoice tracking.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Focus on process improvements and provide financial support for new business initiatives.
• Potentially transition Accounts Payable and management accounting to in-house operations.

What you need to have

• CPA/CA certified or actively pursuing certification.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Strong communication skills & foster strong stakeholder relationships.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards.
• Proactive and process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
• A background in financial services and FX exposure is preferred but not mandatory.
