A key leadership role within the Chief Financial Office will involve collaborating with like-minded leaders to strengthen the organisation's corporate support services. This position will lead a team of a dozen IT professionals, known for their supportive culture and who also prioritise a fun and collaborative work environment. The team is primarily located at our Corporate Centre in Goonellabah.

- Lead and inspire a high-performing and engaged workforce, promoting a customer-focused, values-based culture within the team, where staff are engaged and empowered to be high performing
- Lead, coach and inspire the team to design, implement and support the organisation’s technology solutions. You will design Council’s Enterprise Architecture and Technology Roadmap to ensure the organisation’s technology platforms, systems, data, software, and equipment are in line with the direction of these plans
- Specialist knowledge and extensive experience in developing and delivering ICT strategies and technologies in a complex environment to support business objectives
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles that have delivered change and improvement to organisational performance
- Proven experience leading teams that aligns to workplace culture, organisational purpose, vision, and strategy, where people perform at their best
- A customer focused mindset with the ability to deliver outcome-based partnerships and an understanding of the relationships and structures in a government setting
- Tertiary qualifications in a discipline related to the service areas. Leadership qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, ICT Steering Committee & Audit and Risk Committee
