If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!Showcase your IT skills to help shape Arts, Culture & Tourism in our communityBalance life’s priorities with greater workplace flexibilityTemporary 3-year Contract – 28 hours per weekLET’S EXPLORE THE JOBWe’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative IT professional to join the Arts, Culture and Tourism team in the role of Technology and Innovation Support Officer, where you will be responsible for supporting the design, development and implementation of new technologies across the department.Be at the forefront of technological innovation and provide support in planning, implementing and commissioning transformative technology-based programs and outreach activities such as, coding, robotics and digital art exhibitions/presentations, including digital content creation for the department. Support digital citizenship by driving development of digital literacy skills among customers and staff. This includes providing system and customer support for Council based systems including – Library Management System and a range of third-party vendor products as a member of the Assets and Culture Technology team.In this role, you will also get hands on in our Fab Lab, where imagination knows no bounds, and cutting-edge technology is at your fingertips! We're equipped with state-of-the-art tools, including 3D scanners, printers, laser cutters, and engraving machines, to provide a space where creativity and innovation thrive.Read the position statement and learn more about this exciting opportunity.Conditions of Employment include:If located at the Speers Point ACT facility, the incumbent may be required for front of house service delivery using Spydus 10 technology.LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOUYour background extends beyond technical proficiency; you possess a keen understanding of technologies within library or similar customer-facing environments, making you adept at tailoring solutions to meet the unique needs of diverse users. If you have a coding background using languages such as Python or Java, it will undoubtedly be a significant asset in excelling in this role. Your skills are not just limited to technical prowess – you are someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, contributing to the collaborative spirit of our Arts and Culture Technology team.A dynamic and self-driven individual, you will contribute and work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders.
