We are currently looking for a full time Innovation Project Manager – Packaging Technologist to join our passionate Innovation team.
Based in Sydney Olympic Park in NSW, this position will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products meet the needs of the market and align with Tassal’s goals and objectives.
This position will suit someone who has worked in Food Product Development or experience with packaging research and development and is looking to dive into the world of seafood and work with a truly innovative team.
What does your week look like?
Product Development: Develop innovative and tasty food products, while conducting product trials and taste tests to ensure products meet quality and taste standards.
- Oversee Process: Oversee the product development process from concept to commercialisation, this includes factory & packaging trials.
- Packaging Solutions: Lead and develop packaging solutions to deliver on sustainability goals, while maintaining a quality product.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective product launch strategies.
- Packaging Compliance: Ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
To be successful in this role, a degree in Food Science or related fields and at least 10 years of experience in food product development are necessary. Familiarity with product testing methods and industry regulations for food packaging and production is required. The role demands team management skills, and proficiency in gate processes and project management. Experience with short shelf-life products is preferred. Effective communication skills, experience in a cross-functional team environment, understanding of APCO guidelines, and an optimistic problem-solving attitude are also valued.
