Security Division is responsible for broad range of security functions that support the business of DPS. These protective security functions include, security planning, capability, risk, policy, and reporting.
The Branch works with many different Australian Parliament House (APH) stakeholders, including the Australian Federal Police (AFP), the Department of the House of Representatives, the Department of the Senate, the Ministerial Wing Support, and other entities within the Parliamentary precincts.
Manager Training Development:
The Manager of Training Development is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of security training curriculum focused at the Parliamentary Security Service foundation skills.
In support of the broader Training Team the Manager of Training Development will provide, contemporary Training Development through modern design methodologies, and support Operational Safety Instructors through the provision of training governance.
Manager Training Delivery:
This role leads a team of capability trainers to achieve Security Operations Branch outcomes. In this role you will deliver security focused training programs for the Parliamentary Security Services (PSS).
You will manage a small team of training staff who are responsible for developing, reviewing and evaluating the content and certification of training programs for the Branch. The training provided will include specialised protective security components, with an emphasis on the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
The successful candidate will be solutions focused both short and long term and will have a positive attitude to change. They will have the ability to produce e-learning material and have a high level of organisational and time management skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are critical to the role.
